Dear readers, after a decade, BLACK WORLD is finally back. Since 1974, our goal has been to serve the Black and Latinx community at Stony Brook University. This edition is very special to all members of BLACK WORLD after ten years of its reintroduction. The continuity of BLACK WORLD has rested upon the voluntarism of students and university staff members. BLACK WORLD will continue to be an informal source for the Black and Latinx community at Stony Brook University. This publication’s reintroduction was to establish communication between the past and present. We hope to continue to be a source where you can all come and learn about your world through your people.
